The day had finally arrived for the annual SP Concert Chorale tour. It was a slow, calm morning on the Thursday before spring break. A pile of suitcases and backpacks sat at the bottom of the mission steps as members of the Concert Chorale went through their first three classes before heading to the airport.

Every two years, the St. Paul’s Concert Chorale embarks on a spring break trip to a different country to perform. This year, they traveled to Greece—specifically Athens—with a day tour to the Island of Hydra.

The boys of Concert Chorale knew to get some rest on the ten- and two-hour flights, knowing they had a full day ahead once they landed. Upon arrival in Greece, they met their tour guide, “Mr. Immortal,” who would soon become a legend among the group.
Concert Chorale had three performances during their time in Greece. The first was at the American College of Greece Chorale Festival, where both the boys’ and girls’ choirs of SP sang alongside choirs from different countries.

The second performance took place at Byron College, a high school in Greece, where the boys performed for students passionate about the arts. Even though the venue was small, the performance left an impact and, in their words, “changed lives for the good.”

The final performance was at St. Catherine’s British School during a full-school assembly. With all the students in attendance, the boys performed in front of a large crowd, earning high praise from both students and faculty.
When they weren’t performing, the group explored major attractions in Greece, including the Island of Hydra, museums, and breathtaking sights.
