Have you ever had a streak of games in Fortnite where you landed and didn’t find any loot, causing you to die off spawn? You may think you’re just a bad player—which is probably true—but the location plays a huge role in this predicament. Throughout Fortnite’s lifespan of over seven years, many factions and gangs have arisen in the crevices of each POI (point of interest), lurking in the shadows. Today, we’re going to dive into the secrets of each POI and why they are the five most dangerous.

#5 – Pleasant Park: The soccer field, array of homes, and pavilion all speak to the false sense of security that Pleasant Park offers. Lurking in the shadows of the basement house, you’ll find a secure bunker used to harbor the 47 Fortnite Gang, led by the Pleasant Punisher. They are well-known for running an illegal gambling operation backed by the Sunday league soccer matches. Defaults are easily preyed upon with loan shark methods and eventually 200-pumped due to the high amounts of accumulated debts.

Carbide

#4 – Risky Reels: It’s in the name for a reason: RISKY Reels. Landing here offers a high risk yet a high reward. What used to be a family drive-in movie theater has now been abandoned after the massacre of the “search seven chests at Risky Reels” challenge. This left a new open territory for the Carbide Cartel to move into, making it the basecamp for one of the biggest illegal slurp juice operations. The government tried relocating their base once before to put an end to the business, but it was no use. Previously in the top-right of the map, it was moved across from The Agency during Chapter 2 to keep a closer eye. Risky Reels’ mostly open area features a scattered array of cars and chests. The Carbide Cartel likes to keep the place high and tight and does not welcome newcomers.

#3 – Greasy Grove: Next up on our list is a sneaky dangerous place. What used to be a friendly neighborhood has become a nightmare of slurp dealing. Families were forced to move out, and local businesses shut down due to frequent territory wars between slurp juice dealers. The area is now occupied by many individuals looking to move their product. Greasy Grove is a battleground city known for its skirmishes. Although no particular gang controls all of Greasy, you’ll find many slurp-runners lurking wherever you walk. These dealers prey on noobs with fake slurp, which accounts for the high number of defaults who overbuild on this slurp juice within the city limits. You should never travel there unarmed and should certainly avoid the Durr Burger basement.

Salty Striker

#2 – Salty Springs: Salty Springs, often just called Salty, is notorious for sending players back to the lobby salty and mad. With its central location on the map, it’s almost guaranteed to be in the first circle every time, giving players an automatic advantage—if they survive the start. Salty Springs is a small yet very deadly location on the map, with just five houses and a convenience store added late into Chapter 1. This POI is known to harbor the second most dangerous gang leader on the island, the Salty Striker. There are reports that the Striker solo-squadded four high-ranking members of the 700 Towers gang in their own block. Salty Springs is home to the 24 Salty gang, a powerful faction with a high presence of weaponry and slurp. The 24 often shows no mercy when it comes to protecting their town and will not back down to anyone. With Salty being in the middle of the map, the gang takes care of business quickly, no matter how loud or long it gets. They camp out in houses or roofs and spray you until you’re sent back to the lobby.

The Reaper

#1 – Tilted Towers: Finally, at the number one most dangerous hood in Fortnite, we have Tilted Towers. Due to the large area of this POI, the hood is split into two rival gangs: the 700 Towers gang, led by The Reaper, and the 63 Clockers gang, led by the Titled Splasher. These two gangs are very territorial and have a strong hatred for each other, leading to many build fights and box fights. Walking anywhere outside of the business district is highly discouraged after a spy scandal occurred. The 700 Towers gang allegedly implanted three spies into high-ranking positions in the 63 Clockers gang, leading to a brutal war. Ultimately, the 63 Clockers gang came out as the winner and now controls the whole south side of Tilted, running its operation from the convenience store basement bunker. That said, the business district itself is a competitive area known to harbor the most sweats. These sweats are ruthless and will do anything to take your loot, often ranking as Unreal in the competitive setting. Overall, Tilted is a highly populated portion of the island and is known for its high loot spawn rate, dangerous streets, and high population of sweats.
