Star Wars: the Clone Wars was started in 2004 as a more light-hearted version compared to the one that would later come out in 2008. Although it’s the original, I won’t be focusing on it. I will be discussing the more recent version. The Clone Wars was between the Galactic Republic and the Jedi, and the Separatist Alliance. It lasted three years from 22 bby (before battle of Yavin) to 19 bby. In 22 bby. After that, the war fully started. Battles happened all over the galaxy. The jedi would have been massively outnumbered by the Separatist’s Battle Droids, if not for their clone troopers. The jedi used their clones to fearlessly attack several Separatist planets. They were winning, until the Separatists unleashed their secret weapon; General Grievous. When he first was revealed to the Jedi, he killed four of them in a matter of seconds.
Three years into the conflict, after the murder of Count Dooku at the hands of Anakin Skywalker, the chancellor of the republic, Palpatine, started bringing Anakin to the dark side. Revealing himself as the Sith Lord that orchestrated the Clone Wars, Palpatine was able to turn Anakin against the Jedi. After Anakin brought in Jedi masters, Mace Windu, Agen Kolar, Kit Fisto, and Saesee Tin, Palpatine killed them all. Then, Anakin helped defeat the remaining jedi after Palpatine executed Order 66, which caused the clones to kill the Jedi.
With both the Jedi and Separatists defeated, the Republic turned into an empire, and Anakin Skywalker as his apprentice, Palpatine had won.
